The One I Love EP 3

Welcome back to episode 3 of "The One I Love." In case you missed the two previous episodes, we've got you covered.

Let's get started.

What a family expects after uniting their members with other families is to hear the cry of a baby in their home.

When after some time, they do not hear any sound of a baby, they begin to raise concern, especially the mother-in-law.

The family of Collins and Joyce became very hot when the expected time of the baby was delayed but as they say, true love is patient, they stood for each other until after a few years Joyce became pregnant with their first child.

As they prepared for the arrival of their baby, they couldn’t help but feel grateful for the love and support they had for each other.

“ We are going to be amazing parents,” Collins said, beaming with excitement.

“I know we will,” Joyce replied, smiling. “We’ve got this, together.”

A Bundle Of Joy

Throughout Joyce’s journey in pregnancy, Collins was always there to support her in anything he could.

Sometimes, Joyce would request he bathe her or even feed her, and in all, he did because he understood the hormones of pregnant women.

Finally, the day arrived, and Joyce gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Kofi because he was born on Friday. Collins was by her side, holding her hand and cheering her on.

As they held their arms, they felt a love they had never known before.

“This is the best day of our lives,” Collins said, tears of joy streaming down his face.

“I know my love,” Joyce replied. “ We are so blessed to have each other and our little Kofi”.

A Family Of Three

As Kofi grew up, Collins and Joyce marveled at the little person they had created.

They were proud of his curious nature, his kind heart, and his infectious smile.

“We ‘re so lucky to have him in our lives,” Joyce said, hugging Collins tightly.

“We sure are,” Collins replied. And we are lucky to have each other, too. Our love is the foundation of this family, and I couldn’t ask for a better partner in life.”

A Love That Grows

Years passed, and Collins and Joyce’s family grew. They had two more children, a boy and a girl, and their love continued to flourish.

Through the ups and downs in life, they stood together, hand in hand, a testament to the power of true love.

And as they looked into each other’s eyes, they knew that their love would forever be the guiding light in their lives, a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who knew them.

A Family Legacy

As their children grew older, Collins and Joyce began to think about the legacy they wanted to leave behind.

They wanted their children to remember them not just as loving parents but also as people who made a difference in the world.

“ Let’s start a foundation to support education and entrepreneurship in our community,” Collins suggested.

“I love that idea,” Joyce replied. “ We can make a real impact and inspire others to do the same.”

A Lasting Impact

Together, Collins and Joyce established the Collins-Joyce Foundation, which quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to education and entrepreneurship.

They traveled the world, speaking at conferences and inspiring others to make a difference.

Their children grew up watching their parents’ selflessness and dedication, and they too became passionate about giving back.

“We are so proud of the people you’ve become,” Collins said, hugging his children tightly.

“You taught us the value of love, family, and making a difference,” his daughter, Aku replied.

The Unprecedented

Way back twenty years ago after the first year Collins completed tertiary, in the quest to find employment he got in touch with Mike who was then a staff at the ‘’Gye Nyame Plastics” in the North industrial area, Kaneshie, Accra.

Collins was walking around to search for available vacancies so he could apply.

Life was tough after tertiary when there was no source of income yet always spending.

“Good afternoon, gentleman. I’m Collins and I stay around. I have completed tertiary not long but I need urgent employment, please can you be of help? Is there any vacancy in there?” Collins relayed his grievances to Mike.

“Good day, I’m Mike. I work with this company and there is a vacancy.

They need someone to help with the packaging of the plastics so if you urgently need employment, then you can drop your application first thing tomorrow morning and I’m sure they will pick you”. Mike replied.

Collins Thanked him and took his number and both departed.

Collins was immediately employed after submitting his application and CV.

Due to his hard work and commitment, he was favored after 6 months and got promoted to a branch manager where he was given a private car and some weekly allowances.

There was a lady named Dorcas in the same office as Collins. She was assigned the personal assistant of Collins. Dorcas was the fiancée of Mike who introduced Collins to the company.

Dorcas fell for Collins considering his handsomeness, hard work, commitment, and selflessness.

She did all she could to win the heart of Collins but Collins knowing very well that it was against the ethics of his work didn’t give in.

Dorcas then proposed a dinner night out with Collins of which he agreed.

All these while Mike was suspecting that something fishy was going on between Collins and his fiancée, Dorcas but there was no evidence.

That night Dorcas dressed hot forgetting she was meeting with her boss. She intended to win him to bed.

Collins and Dorcas at Afrikiko restaurant

On the other hand, Mike has already asked Dorcas out but she told him she would go out with her friends that very evening.

Mike called her close friend, Bel to find out but Bel said she wasn’t aware.

This made Mike suspicious that she was going out with Collins and so he stealthily monitored her and true to his thought, Dorcas met Collins at the Afrikiko Restaurant at Kanda, Accra.

Mike also disguised himself and booked a table at the far end of the restaurant where he could see the two very well and took video footage of them.

Dorcas had paid the waitstaff to put drugs in Collins’s drink which made him act out of normal. Dorcas took him to a nearby hotel and guess what?

All these while Mike was still following them and taking footage.

What do you think happened? Did Mike enter the hotel room too or he returned having satisfied his curiosity?

Read the next episode (Episode 4) to find out.
